ASTRO-1 Requirements Team

Welcome to the ART page!

This page serves the ASTRO-1 Requirements Team (or ART) while conducting a science and technology evaluation of the ASTRO-1 space telescope for the BoldlyGo Institute and its partners. The purpose of the ART is to devise a set of scientific objectives, flow those objectives down to required capabilities, and construct a representative observing plan, called a Design Reference Mission, that ASTRO-1 could undertake during its 5-year baseline mission. Also available is the BoldlyGo charter for the ART. The ART will perform its functions during calendar year 2016, beginning with its first in-person meeting in January and culminating in a report later in the year.
